Okay, so here is a little Q and A breakdown to make this fun and quick to read. These are many of the questions that come up in conversation and some I just wanted to add for fun.
How did you decide to adopt triplets?
In March of last year (2011), we felt like God was telling us our family was not finished and that he wanted to add to our family through adoption. When we saw the boys, we had an overwhelming feeling that this was whom God wanted us to adopt.
Are they in an orphanage because of the earthquake?
No, they were in the orphanage before the earthquake. Their parents placed them in the Orphanage because due to extreme poverty, they could no longer care for them.
Are they learning English?
Yes! Maision orphanage has a school and they go every single day. They are learning English and doing a great job.
When will you go to Haiti to visit them?
There are scheduled bonding trips every month at the Orphanage. We will go together the first time and stand in front of the court to file our I600A. So it really depends when they schedule our court date, and when Chris will be available. It is looking like we will go, June or July, August, October, & December.
When will you bring them home?
We started this process in March 2011. We are hoping to bring them home by Christmas 2012, but we are aware that Haiti adoptions take lots of time. So possibly anytime during 2013.
Where are you at in the adoption process?
The process has begun, we have been 'officially' referred and our Dossier has been sent in. We are new to this process and we don't fully understand all of the steps that will take place. Our Adoption Specialist, Kristy Inman from Children of All Nations is equipping us and aiding us through the process. We have a huge community of support around us and are anticipating their arrival.
Do you know anything about their skin & hair care?
NOT AT ALL. We will need lots of help, from anyone who has experience.
HEY PYLE'S ---you and Gastin, Gabou, & Gabriel need money for this adoption process don't you?
You guys all know the international adoption process is expensive. It takes a village! Typically, adopting from Haiti is going to run around $36k dollars or more.
We have applied for several grants from Show Hope, Life Song, & Gift of Adoption. We are still waiting to hear if we will receive any help!
We are also participating in a few fundraisers. Candy Bar sales, Apparent Project Bracelets, and a Just Love Coffee shop. (Please see a member of our family if you are interested in helping this way.) We are also planning a community fundraising dinner, date will be posted soon and a Yard Sale in May.
Currently we need nearly $900 per month to cover their monthly support.
If you would like to give joyfully toward this....please help in bringing our son's home. Any amount helps....
Thanks to each of you for loving us and receiving Gastin, Gabou, & Gabriel into your hearts.
Love Wins,
Chris & Joanna Pyle (and Gastin, Gabou, & Gabriel)
